Is it easier to photograph a wedding when you know the couple personally ? No, it’s not. It’s exactly the same and I work just as hard as I do for all my couples but with more peer pressure than normal to put my camera down and having a drink. It’s always tempting of course ( I go to some seriously good parties and this was one of them!) but although I do love to have fun on wedding day, I NEVER abandoned my duties no matter how much champagne you try and give me :) Cley Windmill is perfect for intimate weddings with smaller numbers, but still BIG on style and fun. As it’s exclusive use the couples and their guests usually get ready on site and I love capturing all the build up to the ceremony in the gorgeous rooms and on this occasion the weather allowed for a stunning outdoor ceremony. After walking down one of the most picturesque aisles I’ve ever seen surrounded by tall grasses and all their friends and family of course, these stopped traffic as they sashayed down the road in Cley towards the local pub to toast their marriage. Yes they were dressed to the nines, black tie is always a winner in my opinion, but can you imagine a wedding celebration more relaxed than a sunny pub garden with your nearest and dearest. The marshes adjacent to Cley Mill were perfect for some natural and relaxed wedding portraiture before the party moved inside.
